Lodge 69 Was Double Booked: The Candy AI Short Series, Reviewed

Two reservations, one cabin

The comedy starts on the doorstep. Each couple has driven deep into the mountains expecting solitude, and each has a confirmation proving the lodge is theirs. The rental company does not answer, snow is starting to fall and the nearest alternative is hours away. After some awkward negotiation, sharing seems like the only sensible option.

Close quarters

A cabin built for two now holds four, and the series has fun with the logistics: one kitchen, thin walls, a single hot tub and long evenings with nothing to do but drink and talk. As the couples get to know each other, curiosity grows across the pairings, and the question quietly shifts from how to split the beds to how much else they might share.

The four of them

The series keeps the four characters distinct enough to make the dynamics interesting: one partner more adventurous, another more wary, a third clearly enjoying the confusion. That balance lets the tension shift from episode to episode rather than following a single line.

Mood

Light, flirtatious and full of awkward-funny moments. It sits on our Wife shelf and in the Getaways & Holidays collection, and it suits a relaxed evening better than a dramatic one.

Where to go next

Camp Rules is the obvious pairing, another getaway where the setup is not what anyone expected. Midnight Compartment shuts a man inside a sleeper car with his employer and the employer’s spouse, and Honeymoon With My Mother-in-Law is a vacation with an uninvited guest. All are AI productions with a grown-up cast.
